Hi, a quick question that i cant seem to find an answer to.. my icons on my screen are big hotbar etc..and i see everone on you tube has them a lot smaller?.. do you know how i can make them smaller please? ..great videos btw im learning a lot from them and ive subscribed.

Reaper was always my favorite melee DPS, then along came Viper... Viper is just so fun, it's like being in Reaper's enshroud, but all the time. MASH ALL THE BUTTONS!

I'll be honest, I think Drk needs a rework. It Lacks so much defensively and its dps just barely squeaks past GNB. I would rather play GNB which has a more comfy rotation and survivability over DRK that has to mash dozens of different cooldowns every burst and can barely sustain itself.

Interesting. In my static, I play OT as Paladin, and I'm consistently doing more DPS than the main tank, a Warrior.

i'm actually kinda curious how this guy hasn't been reported even though his clearly endorsing addons which aren't allowed in-game.

the only thing i would change on reaper is enshrouds cd. the burst window is so strict, it wouldnt even change much... but you wouldnt break youre 123 combo as easily if deaths design is only be needed once in pre arcane circle enshroud. its just clunky to alternate youre bursts based on clipping or not clipping lemure slice. which can happen from time to time even with the best internet

Red mage was one of my most neglected jobs until now. I mostly heal and if I am playing a caster I just always prefered summoner in the past. (Or BLM before the SMN rework) For some reason the flow of RDM started clicking with me better recently. I am a VERY causal player and spend a lot of time in dungeons. I started leveling it from 84 and once I hit the slightly harder dungeons of dawntrail, where PuGs wipe a lot I was blown away by how good vercure and verraise have been. I have saved a bunch of fights from total wipes. The fun of playing a healer for me was always recovering and triage as things go poorly: RDM still has a lot of that but offers more engaging gameplay when things are fine. Crazy that I have not played this job much before!

I would recommend the SwiftpointZ instead of a "traditional" MMO mouse. It's far more ergonomic in that it takes zero time to distinguish the unique controls as opposed to a bunch of buttons all jammed next to each other. Where an MMO mouse takes days to get used to, weeks to use decently and months before you either know it all well, or you decide what buttons you simply won't use because you won't ever hit them comfortably -- the SwiftpointZ you'll be solid in a single day, and only after a few weeks. The only thing that extends further is simply you knowing your hotbar->butotn mapping not the physical device itself. I would also mention that good hotbar set ups have other elements that make usage of a keypad or MMO mouse desirable: 1) Consistency across multiple jobs, especially in the same role. And 2) skills are located relative to each other based on themes/groupings. For example, all DPS AOE rotations are "here", all black mage fire phase here, ice phase there, healing spells here, healer damage spells there, arms length here, surecast always here for casters, swiftcast always there, etc etc etc. There are so many of these to exploit that can minimize learning new jobs and have you executing new ones better than average players on day one. In order to do this you need extra hotkeys to accomodate for "groupings" based on modifier, areas of the mouse, and areas of the keyboard. That being said, I recommend whatever MMO mouse you use, it's best to assign 2, maybe 3 motiifers as mouse buttons. Your fingers are already used to hitting the buttons on the keyboard, and if you happen to use 1-4, F1-F4 , QERTFG quite confidently while WASD moving anyways (that's 10 keys), each modifier you have on the your mouse hand multiplies your options. 2 modifiers gives you 30 keys, 3 gives you 40. And it's easy to "line up" the hotbar so that one row means "ctrl modifier", another is "shift modifier" etc etc. Word of caution before chosing alt: if you tab target, you'll alt tab by accident and that's annoying to have to worry about. Consider making your last modifier "ctrl+shift" (both done with one hardware button) instead of alt to avoid this issue. And like many other comments say, try to have your hotbar laid out in some physical way that makes sense. Where the skill is located on your hotbar should "feel" like where it actually in in front of you to minimize thought. This can be double edged sword as eventually you don't even want to have to do that.

my 3 fav tanks are doing well, my fav DPS (SAM) is doing well, the 2 new jobs I wanted to try are doing well, my main healer Sage is doing well.... maybe it's time to resub? tho by the time I'll catch up to endgame I am fairly certain a couple of patches might turn things around hahaha

It feels like physical ranged has an inherently easier time at the game compared to the other two DPS categories, as melees are more restricted due to having to stay close to the boss, and casters having to stand still sometimes. But, I am not sure how to solve this problem either... I also really like the Pictomancer design because it feels like the only DPS job where you primarily make meaningful decisions rather than primarily just follow a semi-fixed rotation.

Gating everything behind the MSQ sucks! I'm a 94 White Mage and I'm stuck on a dumb-ass solo duty in Shadowbringers that I will, most likely, never complete. I paid for Endwalker and Dawntrail but that content will likely never be available to me. I'm wasting my money with Square Enix, at this point.

I get more worried when not tanking. Just keeping everyone's attention on you is easy compared to knowing what thing to kill or who to heal. If the enemy is hitting me, then I'm doing my job - no one complaining about me not doing an optimal rotation... even though I still try for one.

Here because I saw someone with the Bozja RDM weapon in Solution Nine and literally screamed out loud because of how cool it was, really reeeeaaaallly hope it's not too bad to do that questline in the year of our crystal mommy 2024
